Diamond isn't a private-equity rollup. It's a 26-year Treasure Valley business - built by Rick and Sue Ellen, around a single idea: do home services the way homeowners deserve.

Rick opened Diamond's doors in March 1999, focused on new construction. He earned a reputation across the Treasure Valley for solving the hot-bonus-room problem nobody else could fix - and for treating customers fairly when others didn't.

In 2009, Rick's wife and business partner Sue Ellen joined full-time. Together they made the call to pivot from new construction to residential service - because they saw an industry that, too often, didn't take care of its customers. They wanted Diamond to stand for the opposite.

What you should know about Diamond

What services does Diamond actually do in-house?
Heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical - all four trades, all in-house, all with our own licensed technicians. We're not a referral chain or a marketing front for a network of contractors. One call, one team, one accountable quote.
Are you a chain or a private-equity rollup?
No - Diamond is a family business. Rick and Sue Ellen founded Diamond in Garden City in 1999 and still run it today. We're not owned by an out-of-state holding company, and we haven't sold to private equity. Same family, same team, same town for 26 years.
What's your service area?
Boise, Garden City (our HQ), Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Middleton, Star, and surrounding Treasure Valley areas. Not sure if you're in range? Call us - we'll confirm on the line.
How fast can you get someone out?
Same-day service in most cases for emergencies. Our 24/7 emergency line is answered live by a real Diamond team member - not an answering service - so we can confirm timing on the call. For installation projects, we typically have a free in-home estimate scheduled within a few days.
Do you actually answer 24/7?
Yes. The number you call rings to a real Diamond team member around the clock. We don't use an answering service or push after-hours calls into a voicemail. If you have a burst pipe, no heat, or a power issue at 2am, we answer.
How is your pricing structured?
Your-quote-is-your-price: we give you a written number before any work starts, and that's the number you pay. No hourly creep, no surprise add-ons, no fine print. If something changes scope mid-job, we stop and re-quote before continuing.
Are your technicians actually licensed?
Yes - and they're our employees, not subcontractors. License MEC1464 covers our HVAC and plumbing operations. Every electrical job is run by a licensed electrician. We carry $2M of insurance and pull permits for all work that requires them.
What about financing on bigger jobs?
Financing is available for qualified buyers on installation projects (new HVAC systems, water heaters, panel upgrades, etc.). We'll walk you through the options during the in-home estimate - no obligation.
